Company Description

The original solar pump company located in Safford was founded in 1985 under the name of SolarJack. It was sold to Photocomm in 1996 which included a 5 year non-compete clause. SolarJack remained at the Safford location for three years and then it was moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. In 2001, after the non-compete clause expired, SunPumps, Inc. started manufacturing solar pumps again in the original Safford manufacturing facility. SunPumps has expanded the manufacturing facility twice, once in 2010, once in 2012.

SunPumps manufactures a large variety of High-Quality DC/Solar Powered water pumps, DC pump controllers, DC to AC pump inverters, brushless DC submersible motors, brushless DC surface motors, pond aerators and pond fountains. These products are used worldwide for water applications in places where no utility power is available.

Ranchers, farmers as well as developing countries' remote domestic water users employ these products and services. SunPumps offers custom design for unique applications. SunPumps is among a very few companies worldwide who offer High-Volume pump systems for agricultural quantities of water, directly from Solar Modules
