Company Description

Located in the Roaring Fork Valley of Colorado, Access AfterSchool (Access) was originally founded in 2003 as an after-school technology/digital media class at Basalt High School. From this single program, Access quickly evolved into a comprehensive after-school program for elementary and middle school students when it became clear that large numbers of students were struggling academically while at the same time had no safe or supervised place to go after school.

Access now includes over 200 academic and enrichment classes, employing 242 teachers and serving over 2000 students in seven schools spread across three rural school districts. Access has been growing and evolving to respond to the needs of area youth for over a decade, and is now positioned to further expand and extend programs while continuing to provide financial scholarships to families who qualify.
