Neodesha History

Neodesha was originally founded in 1867 as a trading post for traffic with the Osage Indians. "Neodesha" (an Osage word) means "where waters meet," which is appropriate as the town sits between the Verdigris and Fall Rivers. It was incorporated in 1871.
