With Schowengerdt Funderal Chapel, Inc., we're here providing compassionate care to ease your journey at a time of loss. We are a family-owned funeral home and lifelong residents of our community. Our family includes Gary Lee Schowengerdt, a licensed funeral director/embalmer since 1968
wife Trevalyn LaFarge Schowengerdt, former business teacher and licensed funeral director since 1989
and son Jesse Lee Schowengerdt, an MU business graduate, licensed funeral director since 1998 and embalmer since 2003. Gary was affiliated with a local firm for over 25 years until we branched out on our own and built a new facility in 1990. Our funeral chapel provides for every detail from pre-need funeral planning to care after the service. We specialize in honoring the memory of a loved one ... and what you will find is care and concern and attention to detail that go far beyond the expected--just when you need it the most.
